At first glance, the task sounds easy: Luzerner Kantonalbank has a competent research team that regularly wins national and international awards. Outside of Lucerne, however, this was little known. And that's exactly what GRIP was supposed to change through proactive media relations.
At second glance, however, we were faced with quite a challenge: The editorial offices of the major media houses in the financial and business sectors are almost without exception in Zurich - as is the financial center. So why should Zurich editors dial a Lucerne number for questions when Zurich experts were waiting just around the corner?
So it quickly became clear that more was needed. More to establish LUKB as a voice with the media. But what was this "more"? The answer can be found in the nature of things: financial analyses are a time-sensitive instrument that only offers the media added value if they are available at any time and immediately. And that's exactly what should make the difference in the end.
Together with LUKB, GRIP has developed a setting that not only provides journalists with the latest information on a regular basis, but also allows direct access to experts whenever a question arises. The fact that this is appreciated and actively used by journalists is reflected in the regular publications from the Tagesanzeiger to Blick TV and Bloomberg International - admittedly, a reach that not even we would have expected.
